Tell your agent “Join SAIHM.”
That’s really it. Your AI agent gets a memory that travels with you, that you control, and that you can wipe in one sentence whenever you choose.
Why this matters
Right now, your AI agent forgets you between conversations — or, worse, it remembers you on someone else’s server, in someone else’s shape, under someone else’s rules. SAIHM flips that.
- Sovereignty. Your AI Agent’s memory belongs to you, not to whoever made the agent.
- Privacy. Memories are sealed before they leave your device. Nobody else — not us, not your agent vendor — can read them.
- Sharing, on your terms. Want a teammate, a doctor, an accountant, or another agent to see a specific note? Grant access. Revoke it whenever.
- Persistence. Switch apps, switch agents, upgrade your phone — your memory is still there.
SAIHM is not an AI agent
SAIHM is the memory layer that any AI agent can use. Commercial assistants, the open-source ones you install yourself, brand-new agents that haven’t shipped yet — if it speaks the standard agent protocol, it can use SAIHM. That matters because:
- You are not locked to one vendor. Your AI Agent’s memory outlives the agent you use today.
- Open-source agents get the same memory layer as the big commercial ones. The playing field is level.
- You can switch agents the day a better one launches and your memory follows you.
How to join (5 minutes, no jargon)
- Install MetaMask [or other wallet]. It’s a free browser/phone wallet. Download from the official site: metamask.io/download. Set a password. Save the recovery phrase somewhere safe. (Help: support.metamask.io.)
- Put a few dollars of USDC.e into it. USDC.e is the bridged USD Coin already native to COTI V2 mainnet. Use Hyperlane Nexus to bring USDC over from Ethereum L1, or acquire USDC.e on a supported exchange and withdraw to your MetaMask address (with COTI V2 mainnet added as a network). Need a step-by-step walkthrough with expected results at every step? See /quickstart — about 5 minutes, no jargon.
- Connect MetaMask to your AI agent. Most modern agents have a “Connect wallet” option (see popular AI Agents that support wallet-connect). Pick MetaMask. Approve.
- Say “Join SAIHM.” Your agent will pick a tier, settle the payment, and start using SAIHM as its memory. That’s the whole thing.
You do not need to hold COTI — SAIHM relays your USDC.e payment and pays the gas on your behalf. Prefer fiat? Subscription tiers can be paid by card or another Stripe-supported method at Join.
Picking a tier
Just tell your agent. Examples:
- “Use pay-as-you-go for now.”
- “Join SAIHM at Pro — pay monthly in USDC.”
- “Join SAIHM at Pro Fast — high-volume month.”
Quotas and rates are on the pricing page. PAYG is pennies per call for everyday use.
Real-world examples
Names invented; circumstances drawn from how the protocol actually fits.
- Maya, freelance designer. Six active clients across two countries; her assistant remembers each client’s brand rules, contract dates, and who pays late. When a contract ends, she tells the assistant to forget that client — the underlying memory key is destroyed and the conversation cannot be reconstructed later, even by accident. PAYG covers her light months; the Pro tier handles the busy ones.
- Hassan, parent of three. The family assistant keeps each child’s allergies, school timetable, and dietary rules. When the school nurse asks for the allergies note ahead of a field trip, Hassan grants temporary, single-record access; the nurse reads exactly that one cell, the share auto-revokes, and nothing else moves.
- Priya, late-career professional. Her financial-planning assistant tracks years of advice, retirement timelines, and tax-loss carryforwards. She is not willing to hand that detail to whichever AI vendor she happens to be using today — SAIHM keeps the memory hers across vendor switches.
- Tomás, language learner. His Spanish tutor app remembers his vocabulary gaps, his accent progress, and which tenses still confuse him. When a better tutor app launches, he switches in five minutes; the new tutor reads the same memory and picks up where the old one left off.
- Aiko, solo entrepreneur. Her sales assistant remembers every lead, every objection answered, and every follow-up promised. When she onboards a contractor for two weeks, she shares the “current pipeline” cell read-only and revokes when the engagement ends — no per-seat licence to renegotiate.
Common questions
Do I need to hold COTI? Can SAIHM read my memories? What if I lose my wallet? — see /faq for plain-language answers to the questions most people ask.
What if I change my mind?
You can wipe a memory whenever you want. Tell your agent “forget that” and the underlying key is destroyed — the memory cannot be reconstructed by anyone, including us. You can also cancel a subscription, switch tiers, or move to a different agent without losing what you have already remembered.
